The idea for protective seat covers initially came from the water sports industry. We began producing seat covers in 1986 for sailors, windsurfers and surfers who wanted to drive home in their wetsuits without damaging their seats. The market quickly increased as people from other industries, such as builders, mechanics and dog owners, began to show an interest in also protecting their seats. This demand rapidly outgrew the in-house capacity of the original designer, who still leads the design team today, and the business began to expand into the wide range of seat covers we currently supply.
